- Hi there
- I am very lucky to have a fab large church in next door village with great acoustics and bright sounding grand piano. Quite often I will go in and play / sing for a couple of hours. More recently I have started recording my piano and vocal on an iPhone using 'voice memos'. Whilst it does an ok job capturing the sound it does unfortunately capture quite a lot of white noise as well. Would anyone be able to recommend a suitable microphone I could use either with iPhone, iPad or Laptop, and one that would work well in that type of setting and set up? I am on a bit of a budget so not looking for anything north of £100 as I will hook up in pro recording studio on the odd occasion to get top quality. Also I am assuming best not to use a condenser mic for an open setting like that. Prob best with an X,Y, dynamic config. Does that sound about right?
